I just installed my Supertrapp system two months ago... so hopefully I can help you and prevent you from making the same mistakes I did... #1 Be sure to install new o-rings/crush washers between the headers and the cylinders. Also, make sure you get the old ones out before you put the new ones in. #2 Make sure you are using a good torque wrench to tighten the headers to the cylinders. It looks really bad when you bend things like the mounting bolts sticking out of the cylinders. #3 The stock exhaust is a real PITA to remove. I had to remove the starter to get mine off. #4 To retain your centerstand, you'll need two parts. The first is the centerstand-stop that is made by Supertrapp. The second part is an OEM Honda part that is stock on California Hawks. You can go here to order it if you have a non-California Hawk: http://store.yahoo.com/azmotorsports/supsupstains.html Scroll down and you'll recognize it as "Honda Bracket for Non-California Bikes". #5 That "Honda Bracket for Non-California Bikes" requires two bolts to attach it to your bike. The right side bolt is common and easy to find. However, I still have yet to find a bolt that will fit in the left bolt hole. If you find one, please let me know... I'll be willing to pay if you can send me a bolt that will fit... (thanks!) #6 Most of that "Honda Bracket for Non-California Bikes" is completely useless for what you intend to use it for. Take a dremel tool and cut off the parts of it you don't need. It originally holds emisisons equipment... but since you're just using it to keep your centerstand from hitting the chain, why not tidy things up? #7 It's hard to describe where to mount that "Honda Bracket for Non-California Bikes". If you get down underneath your bike... down by the rear tire on the left side... and you look forward towards the front of your bike... you'll see two bolt holes just above where the centerstand mounting-bolts are. That's where you mount that "Honda Bracket for Non-California Bikes". Again, if you can find a bolt that fits the left bolt hole, please let me know... #8 That centerstand-stop from Supertrapp bolts onto the left centerstand mount-bolt. Attached to this e-mail you will find a reply to one of my messages regarding this very subject by Richard Schnorenberg. Be aware that those centerstand mount-bolts are a real bitch to remove. I bent a wrench, gave myself a blister, and bruised my hand trying to remove it. However, keep working at it... they will finally break loose. Good luck Steve! I really love my Supertrapp now that I have it installed! It's worth the effort! :) Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!
