>I saw a big tanker truck on the highway this morning, and it had >a sign on the back that said: > > Technical animal fat > not intended for > human food > >It would really be gross if the thing broke open. Ick. >I wonder what else is on the highway that *isn't* labled. It contains the things butchers throw away. Bones, bone-dust, the fat they don't put in hamburger, stuff like that. Once it leaves the sanitary conditions of a butcher shop, it is no longer fit for humans to eat according to the FDA inspectors. That's just what I threw in there, others may have put other things in. I, and others, watched from the Addison-Wesley building off 128 after such a truck rolled over dumping its meat -- bit chunks. Cars in the north lane were skidding all over the place, playing bumper car. The police had one hulluva time clearing the dead and live meat, as well as the cars. That, however, didn't match the tank going south in the north bound lane! Its driver may have ended up as meat chunks too. -- M'lee Subject: I wonder what else... Reply-To: exile@gnu.ai.mit.edu Status: RO years ago, there was a story about a big accident on the southern portion of the dc beltway. the dc beltway, for those of you who know not, has a big drawbridge at the south potomac river crossing. it's lifted in the wee hours to let big cargo vessels through. so along comes a tractor trailer, the driver of which isn't too with it, and might have been drinking. he ignores all the signs that say 'bridge up.' other drivers of tractor-trailers waiting for the bridge to come back into commission start frantically radioing the guy to slow down. he finally notices that the bridge is up in time to dump the truck on its side stopping. the truck was full of eggs. as sun rose over one of the busiest commuter roads in the world, it fries thousands of eggs over easy on the pavement.
